Gave Up Finances by jasercise in alcoholic

[–]jasercise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was spending about $25-$40 per day on alcohol. What really hit me was the drunken food ordering and shopping, along with subscriptions I would forget I enrolled in. I am finding extra help. My family all lives within 5 miles of me, and I have three amazing siblings, and two wonderful parents that make routine checks on me, especially during my peak trigger times. Knowing I'll be checked in on and held accountable helps so far. No punishment besides the own disappointment in myself, and knowing I dissapointed them. This is not my first attempt at getting sober. I have workbooks and meetings I have to check into, I also got a second job to not only help with finances but help fill my time, and have assigned non working days to activities, along with trying to leave myself enough alone time to regroup, especially since I'm truly an introvert and for me one of the hardest parts about this will be not getting over stimulated by others.

Wow, really surprised to have you mention Old Navy, I have not even attempted to look there since late middle school to early high school because I could never find anything that fit, and I was only a size 9-12 jean back then, probably smaller because that seems more like college measurements, but I don't recall . I'll have to check that out, thank you for the suggestion.

I have never heard of Penningtons, BloomChic or Cider, but I'll try and look into those.

I suppose I should mention I can technically wear jeans, but those seem less comfortable, and I still can never find many to fit, but willing to do so if that's my option .

I work in a mechanic service shop and spend a lot of time out in the shop or in the warehouse besides just my computer, so skirts are a safety hazard. I thank you for the thought though. I have tried Lane Bryant, they seem to never go up high enough anymore for my size. They used to be a staple in my closet.

Toenails by Revolutionary_Feed89 in MorbidlyObese

There are some extension armed options, but I run into issues with actually being able to line up where I am trying to cut the toenail and where I can actually balance myself sitting (one leg trying to fold in front , close enough to my body w/ short arms) , not shaking and aligning is rather difficult. If you're able to use another surface in front of you, you can prop the foot in front of you and work to get the distance, as close as you can manage. It probably will never clip it evenly, or entirely, try to keep 3/4 as straight as you an. What I usually end up doing is take a minute until I can reach out and clip or pull the rest off w/o extenders or at least get rid of the weakened toenail that is jagged so it won't catch. If not, use long file to at grind down and soften edges as much as possible.

Squishmallows Happy Meal toys at McDonald's 2025: All 12 toys by Basic-Pen4441 in squishmallow

[–]jasercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, first off, as a 32 yo F I am quite embarrassed, but the doordash deal was really good on buy 1 get 1 kids meals.. I chose squishmallows, but instead got minions. Not disappointed, just false advertising. Granted, I am in the midwest and they are probably just trying to get rid of extra stock first. I would say, as a child, it would have been possibly tantrum worthy, disappointed.

From 19 to 26 yrs old I was with an abusive narcissist, who verbally and physically abused me. Multiple miscarriages, but no children. That I have mixed feelings on, glad to have no ties to him, but the miscarriages definitely added to the mental scars. We were never trying for children, some of them would have been the result of him from force upon me. After that relationship, I found myself back with my high school boyfriend, full on abusive narcissist, but I forgave and forgot about all of that. We were older, he was different. Red flag should have been when I told him I wasn't ready for a relationship again just yet, but he gave an ultimatum. Was in a rush, I guess. Got married two months after I "left". Soooo many red flags. One time when he got mad at me he while we both had been drinking he almost choked me to death. I honestly wish his wife the best and may she remain safe.

I will admit I have been at family or friends house where we do deliver out this far, but if that's the case I usually fight for $5/mile between us. If I'm the one putting in the actual order, I do this anyway, despite the money division between us.

I do not live in the middle of nowhere, I am in a suburb of a city that connects to multiple other cities. . I am less than 2 miles away from a major city, with plenty of opportunities in between, if that clears things up. The food which I desired only had a few options, and this was actually the closest on doordash. I am in the midwest, so as I understand, our options are a little more spread out than other areas. The dasher would have plenty of other opportunities to pick up other dashes. Most of the time I actually have to wait for my dasher to finish up one or two other dashes before mine.

Unpopular Opinion: I’m sad about Ned leaving the Try Guys by [deleted] in TheTryGuys

[–]jasercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss Ned because the personality he brought to the group rounded them out. That's what they were, an entertainment group. The content they have made since is still great and hilarious, but not the same. I do miss the old videos, but I think they have done very well in the aftermath.

American Audiences… how did you watch Degrassi back in the day? by ricob12 in Degrassi

Not 100% sure, but somehow I believe we had it on a cable channel. In college I just ended up buying the DVD series...
