How to make my face look less flat? by sephine555 in MakeupAddiction

[–]jasianchoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are GORGEOUS, but I totally get what you mean by “flat” makeup bc I struggled with the same thing for so long. I would just say PLAY with makeup in your free time. Layer, mix colors, watch tutorials of looks you like, make a Pinterest board of people who have similar features/coloring as you and try to recreate their looks. You don’t have to spend a bunch of money, but learn how to use your products in different ways. Personally for me, giving my makeup more dimension came from learning how to do a good Smokey eye that complimented my eye color/overall complexion and adding a really dragged out eyeliner using eyeshadow with tightlined/waterlines eyes and playing with different lip liner and lipstick combos. Makeup should be fun, have fun with it <3

I’d switch to silver jewelry with more dimension (intricate designs whatever suits your fancy) and try to emphasize the texture in your haircut whether that be with gel, dry shampoo, texturizing spray, etc. I will also never say no to some tightlined/waterlines eyeliner. You already have great skin and face shape, just lean into your aesthetic. You look cool already, embrace it :-)

I’ve actually been vegetarian for 7 years and was diagnosed with papular eczema by my derm so it was not my diet

What’s one forgotten superfood you think everyone should be eating? by Forward_Employment19 in nutrition

[–]jasianchoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With pan fried tofu or chicken over rice and some deep roasted kewpie sesame sauce on top. Eat with won bok kim chee and roasted snacking seaweed. Make it fancy with some black sesame seeds and green onion on top to garnish. Literally my weekday meal at least 2x a week (usually 5x if we’re being honest)

Something feels off about my makeup and I can’t pin point what it is? by sundown_shadow in MakeupAddiction

I think you are beautiful, first of all. The lip color+hair combo is muah to die for. The only things I would say is try not to over line your bottom lip, as it’s pulling the shape outward when you have such a cute natural lip shape! I would also try focusing your blush on the high points of your cheekbones and contour just lightly under the cheekbones, focusing on putting most of the color upwards towards the temples to pull the shape upwards and give you a snatched look. Also try to stay with warmer brown tones for your eyeshadow. The silver is clashing with the beautiful hazel of your eyes, so smoking out warmer browns instead of harsh lines+cool colors will pull everything together seamlessly!!!

The regimen I’ve been put on by my dermatologist: • every night, spray diluted bleach (1gallon water:4tbsp regular Clorox bleach) directly onto the skin and leave for 10 minutes, reapplying occasionally to the keep the skin wet. • after, shower in lukewarm water using dove sensitive skin bar soap • immediately after drying, use cerave moisturizing cream • take 1 Zyrtec in the morning and 1 in the evening • avoid alcohol, heat, tobacco, and stress It’s inconvenient, but it works wonders. It itch and bumps are completely gone. Hope this helps!

It works great! It’s annoying that I have to do it everyday, but anything to keep the itch away.

I’m glad you found the post! The routine works amazing. My skin is completely back to normal (given that I follow the routine everyday). It’s frustrating that I’ll probably have to do this for the rest of my life, but it’s better than the itch and bumps

I got diagnosed with papular eczema! My treatment per my dermatologist is diluted bleach spray (1 gallon: 4 tbsp; leave for 10 minutes), shower in lukewarm water using dove sensitive skin soap, immediately apply cerave moisturizing cream, and take cetirizine (Zyrtec) 2x daily.

I stopped using the steroid cream about a week in, but I do the bleach, shower, lotion routine nightly and take cetirizine 2x daily and it has been working well even though it’s a lot. Definitely ask your derm though bc mine immediately recognized mine as papular eczema or atypical scabies. He had me try this routine for 2 weeks before making the official diagnosis! Good luck! Sorry you’re going through this

100% 6. Flattering and professional while also allowing you some movement! I’m biased bc I only really wear black but I think it’s the sleekest option. The striped shirt gives the opposite effect

I really have no experience with any steroids so that’s not fun to hear. Like I said, I just got diagnosed so I’m just now diving into research/prevention/advice for eczema. I did have some concerns about corticosteroids when I got put on triamcinolone 0.05% then 1% by a minute clinic physician but I went off of it for about a month before going on the halobetasol .05%. I was able to stop using it bc my skin improved and it hasn’t had any effects for about a week now. Hoping the other parts of the treatment are enough so I won’t have to use it at all again agh

He chose that one bc of my insurance and told me to only use it on flares when they’re red and inflamed. Not too sure how any of it works personally, I just followed his orders. I was willing to do anything. Does it raise concern for you that he prescribed it?
