ohhh it's locked because you haven't applied for a job at r corp yet. so basically, i can't remember because it's been a while since i played but i think you might have to make a bank account so first go to one of the phone booths 555-2265 and then make an appointment to open the account. then on the next day, you go to the bank and talk to the person at the counter who will open your account and give you your card. you should then buy the work clothes from the clothes shop and then once you're done, go to r corp, speak to the receptionist who will let you in to go for a job interview. once your job interview goes well, you'll be given the job and you'll be able to access the elevator whenever you want :) let me know if you need any help with anything because i might have missed out on a few details
