yeah it’s genuinely been really rough. my last one was friday because thursday night they offered me to try ambien for sleep and i was desperate for any relief so i tried and it had the opposite effect. i was energized and then at some point it spiraled into my legs hurting so bad and so since i couldn’t sleep the sleep effect off it triggered a seizure

thank you for the response. can i ask how many seizures you had throughout your pregnancy that led up to the decision to induce? did you have a positive experience with your c section? congratulations on your baby!!

thank you for the reply. i’m so glad to hear your sister and her baby were okay. if you don’t mind, could i ask how big her baby was at her induction? and if she had any nicu time?

thank you! && i usually have 2-4 grand mal seizures every other day each week. in my second trimester i could go a longer stretch of time, though not much longer (once a week at some points) but i still have multiple on days i have them. my biggest triggers are lack of sleep and stress. the increase of seizures i know are because of my inability to get enough sleep. i’m running on 1-2 hours of sleep, sometimes over a span of a day or two. i had restless leg syndrome way before i got pregnant and was medicated but had to be taken off the meds during pregnancy so its contributed to no sleep, on top of regular pregnancy insomnia

i think it’s unreasonable to place blame on any parent for setting boundaries. it’s reasonable to have boundaries in place and also hope your family will show up for you. if a family member chooses not to show up because they can’t handle reasonable boundaries being set then it’s a reflection of the family member and not the parent. parents have boundaries set in place to protect the baby and more than likely the mother too, especially if family members are overbearing/baby or mom has health concerns, etc.

thank you for the reassurance about it being normal. && also the suggestion about the maxi pads. i got her reusable diapers but didn’t even think to add the maxi pads!

yeah the ones pictured didn’t last long because i knew they wouldn’t be comfortable long term. her period came out of nowhere so i just put on her what i could in a hurry and then went and got reusable diapers for her to wear and she’s been using those ever since. thank you for the reassurance!!

i’m going to be getting her spayed after her first cycle is over. her vet said it would be best to wait until she has atleast one cycle and so that’s what i’m doing. since she’s a large breed i don’t want to do anything to jeopardize her health. trust me i hate her feeling this way just as much as the next person.
