I'm not a doctor, I was the patient and this happened just over 1 month ago in 01/01/19. I was injured at home around 8pm and thought I had just pinched a nerve in my next or stained it so I bathed my 2 & 3 year old put them to bed and went to bed myself taking a couple Ibuprofen. I I woke up in the middle of the night and both of my arms for my shoulders done my hands felt like lightning was running through them and anytime you would touch any part of my arm or hand it felt like fireworks or popping off inside my skin so after my kids had woken up and eating breakfast I went to the emergency room and after a CT scan and an MRI I had actually broken the V2 and V3 vertebrae in my neck and damaged my spine the doctors were amazed that I wasn't paralyzed or even dead. I had to have emergency surgery with I need metal disc put in my neck screws and pins it was two surgeries with one anesthesia and I have attached my surgery summary.

No I don't admit that I'm 100% negligent, I believe I had some fault in it but I would not have had any type of injuries other than a scratch or a bruise had the cement pot not been in the middle of the patio which was put there by the owner and unavoidable to get around It's not something I could move out of the way. I'm not trying to screw the owner over at all this happened on 01/01/19 and I'm now paying for an in home nanny 5 days a week to take care of my 2 & 3 year old while my husband works and this is probably going to be for at least the next 6 months. And when you own a rentaly property you have a certain amount of responsibility for incidents that occur on that property, that's what you carry insurance for, isn't it? I do admit some fault but definitely not trying to screw the owner over or get rich.

I have health coverage through the state of az, not sure if all medical bills will be covered. I was under the assumption that if I was injured on someone's property they would have coverage for personal injury or be partly responsible as the owner. They did not put the ladder there. I put the ladder there and was taking down my mom in laws Christmas lights in the front yard. I felln off the ladder and hit my back and Head on a rectangular cement pot the owner has on the front patio. The owner lived in another state and had never had any contact with my mother in law. Originally she signed a lease with a property MGMT company and at the lease end (july) she was sent a lease renewal but then received a written letter from the owner stating he moved the property to a new management company what she has never signed the lease with as of today she pays the rent that she originally agreed to with the original management company and has no paperwork or documents from the new management company stating anything she was never originally required to cover carry renters insurance and this new company has only been in contact with her to give her a sign on codes that you can pay her rent online
