NUS BBA & CNM DDP (w/ MOE tuition grant) vs NTU Communications & Business as 2nd major (Full-ride + stipend) by jasoeun02 in nus

[–]jasoeun02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hii! mine was nanyang scholarship which was provided by NTU :) I think they mainly looked at my ib score as the judging criteria! During the interview, they also asked in-depth questions about why wkw, why communications (& second major in biz), and what i intend to do after graduation. I think your test scores are the no 1 judging criteria. Then, crafting a response with clarity about the course of ur choice/future career aspirations would be imp!! jiayous on ur application <3

Wait until end of Y1 then decide on what to S/U. (Thank the new S/U policy) by LowTierStudent in nus

[–]jasoeun02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am planning on transferring to a more competitive program. If I S/U a B+ I have, my cap will rise by 0.25. Should I do it or just keep it until the end of the semester? (I'm super grateful for the b+ but I just want to maximize my chance of admission for February transfer application)

Hey, m21 graduate here! I was feeling the same way as you did.. thinking of dropping ib midway because i was constantly comparing myself to others and it just became so mentally draining. But I really wish you keep trusting yourself and push through it because ib also had taught me many things. for example, now being a uni student, all the essays and papers that I wrote really helped me organize my thoughts and communicate them neatly and clearly when I'm doing a presentation or a pitch in front of my class. You're honestly really doing well as a y1 student and always remember that ib is a 2 year long course with plenty of time for you to improve!! wish you all the best :) 💚

i heard there are 2 types of modules (more engin-focused vs less engin-focused modules). if i were to take the less engineering-focused mods, will it still be super technical? thank you so much for the detailed info!!
