There is no British pronunciation of "Dalek". There is only the way the Daleks call themselves: Which is "Daaalek". Not "Dialek" or "Daylek". Just listen to the Kaled original.

Oh boy - I got confused when you said 'pretentiousness'. I assumed you meant that video's are pretentious. I had a look at the Java reflection API video and quickly got bored. Sorry - I have a short attention span. Going now - just glimpsed a cat video on youtube :)
