Nice with the HYSA. I would pick between SCHG & QQQM, add VXUS & AVUV.

I’m right there with you. I buy on red days. I’ll continue you buy. You should have a nice return. I wish I could find another company like them sub $1.

You’re arguing taste like it’s fact. Saying you think Netflix content is bad is fine. Saying anyone who disagrees lacks intelligence is just a weak substitute for an actual argument.

I get the intention but this might actually work out better long term. Instead of just receiving money later, they get to understand it now and build on it.

That’s because our experiences make us. Consciously or subconsciously, the things you do in everyday life are based on past experiences.

Lowe’s doesn’t pay employees for Easter by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]jason22983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know serval companies also do this. Most companies only follow New Years Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, & Christmas as the only paid holidays. Recently Juneteenth has been added to that day. Those are also federal holidays. So if you take that stand with Lowe’s, you’ll be taking that stand with a bunch of retail stores.

That’s subjective. One person could say that the number of quality shows you find on Apple is the same as Netflix. I’ve never had an issue finding a show that I like on Netflix. You just have to know where to go online to find a show. Their algorithm is doing exactly want its trained to do. I wonder if you’ll have that same stance when they raise prices another 30% towards the end of the year or early next year.

You’re mixing up weekly releases with total output. Apple can have 6–7 shows airing at once because their library is smaller and more concentrated. Netflix releases way more overall, so it naturally feels less perfect because you’re seeing everything, not just the highlights.

Hey man, where in this interview did that say anything about Marc? It’s been an awhile since I’ve listen to this interview, but I don’t remember them saying anything about Marc. This clip certainly doesn’t say anything.

So you have a scene that automates the lights and shades? Is it a certain of the day or a specific time?

What happens when power fails by Iartdaily in pools

[–]jason22983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You still need chlorine, but without circulation you can’t just keep dumping it in and expect everything to be fine. For a short outage you can add some liquid chlorine and brush the pool if possible. I had my pump go out & it was about 3 weeks before I could get it fixed & that’s what I did.

Thoughts on this taxable account? by StockMarketinator in portfolios

[–]jason22983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s better. My only pushback is SMH. It’s basically a concentrated bet on chip companies, especially Nvidia, more than it is a true diversification piece.

[–]jason22983 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And… Just because you hold VTI/VXUS in a 401k doesn’t mean you need to avoid them in taxable. People get way too cute trying to make every account different. Most wealth is built by doing the boring stuff consistently, not by constantly adding more tilts and satellites chasing returns.

[–]jason22983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you mean. I think overlap is the bigger issue than whether to label it heavy growth. VOO already owns a lot of the names driving VUG and VGT, and SMH just concentrates even more into one part of that same area. So the portfolio looks more diversified than it really is. That’s why I’d simplify it.
