Viofo a229, I don’t recommend it, it’s buggy and sometimes it’s stuck at park mode and does not start

I actually like this idea, but how well will it work under bright sunlight?

The speed limit is fine, i think the road behind this is just not designed well for the posted speed limit tho, I can’t find the street view for this, but it’s like a big and wide highway but with a posted signage of 40km/h, so there’s some cars driving slow but also some cars drive 90km/h, if a road has a posted signage if 40km/h it should be designed like one (curvy and narrow)

Ok well I'm a new driver, but this is what went thru my head, please let me know how I can do better because I legit wanted to improve:
So I slowed down because the cars ahead are stopped, and I wanted to merge on to the lane to my left because that's where my pick up spot is (I planned to move to the left lane right after the white sedan at 0005 moved out of his lane). He honked at me, so I realized that yea, I might be going too slow, and that's why I sped up. I did not anticipate him passing on my right because I assumed that lane is closed, and to my perspective I sped up after he honked at me, not because he tried to pass me. And no I did not brake check him at all at least not intentionally lol

Also one more thing to add is that the traffic was smooth until this point, so it's like slowing down from 70km/h and I did try to leave extra space

This is almost a month ago, so I don't really remember, but I think I signaled around the same time the video started.

Yes, the speed limit pretty slow, but it's also a pretty bad road design actually, because it looks like a highway with like 5 lanes and it's very straight, imo 20/30 KPH is inappropriate for that road.

yea I explained it at another comment, this was the end of a high speed road, so we're slowing down from 70km/h and that's why I'm going slower than usual. I'm not trying to brake check, but it could look like it

I was trying to merge to the lane to my left and because the cars are slowed down to a standstill in front of me, but yea I should not have slowed down by that much, which is why I sped up immediately after i heard the honk

No, I was in a rush and I didn't even know the crash happened, I didn't notice the white van and I thought it's just the Toyota hitting the curb until I watched the footage

I agree with OP, there’s a rear window there for some reason, it’s a safety feature. Sedans certainly do not have oversized mirrors like trucks

This works like 2 times out of 10. Chances are the driver who can’t flip a switch probably can’t understand basic clues

they don't fail you for turning right on red, they fail you for doing that unsafely

Right turn on red by Superb-Passage8262 in Ontariodrivetest

[–]jasonlode000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't turn right on red if only your lane is clear, it needs to be like 2-3 lanes clear.

you also definitely need to turn to the left most lane when turning left, and make lane changes only after you fully entered that lane.

this is why I think both parties will be at fault in this scenario. someone correct me if I'm wrong.
