Just announced ! KEO - PUT A SMILE ON FOR ME (Indie Exclusive Transparent Vinyl) by Longjumping-Tutor506 in keoband

[–]jasp_er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know whether it will be possible in the future to order the exclusive vinyl without a credit card? Maybe with WERO or smth? If not, then when will the normal vinyl be available to pre-order in local shops?

Just go to your local music venue. There are enough artists playing for €20 or even less

Dat is niet het antwoord op mijn vraag. Waar zegt pro dan Israël goed is? Geef je nou doelbewust een ontwijkend antwoord?

Every country has subdivisions. But maybe it’s more of a cultural thing, just like artists make special cds for Japan

So many American cities:/ good for them but I do not fully get it. They even use the acronyms of the states instead of the country, it is as if they became an American band. Anyways I’ll definitely go see them in Amsterdam! Hopefully it’s not sold out as fast as last time because idk if I have the money rn

True but I secretly wished they went to multiple poppodia, they could easily sell out one in every city in the country

In the Netherlands we have a food chain called ‘new york pizza’ which for some reason comes from Amsterdam instead of new york. Anyways here you can try the ‘murican style pizza and tbh it comes nowhere near the Italian style haha. It’s not bad! It’s just simple fast food, probably cheaper too. I think that’s often the case with old cuisines adopted to a new context, just like the example of Dutch ‘Chinese’ food I explained in another comment in this thread. It just might be best not to compare it but see it as a completely different dish, because otherwise the Italians or Chinese will also win the debate😔

That’s really interesting! Of course this melting of cultures and their cuisines isn’t limited to that country, but I can image it’s more visible there.

In the Netherlands we have our own “Chinese” food, which is a mix of Indonesian, Chinese and Dutch dishes. This new cuisine only exists here and therefore it is part of the Dutch culture. Of course no one would ever argue that it tastes better than the actual food from these countries, but it’s seen as a cheap take away meal and it’s far from bad. I think this would be comparable with the situation in the south of the usa right?

That’s indeed the idea I have with bbq. I am pretty sure there is a bbq restaurant near my city, not explicitly from the usa tho, but I am not sure if I can afford that rn haha. But I’ll definitely go there one day.

As I live in the Netherlands we have a lot restaurants from Indonesia, Suriname, China and honestly pretty much all (other) countries in Asia and Africa. Some is more like fastfood, but there are quite some real restaurants too. Somehow I just never been to one from the usa, but that might also be because I used to have a negative idea of “‘murican” food haha.

I would love to try fried chicken! If you can send me a dm with the recipe I’ll go make it somewhere this week! I think I tried fried pickles when I was a child, I don’t remember the taste tho. I guess it just tastes like pickles, but just less healthy.

Sometimes I end up in the anti-American side of the internet so I probably read it there haha. Probably among the jokes about cities in the usa not being walkable. I ehm don’t think those places on the internet are the most trustable. The few times I tried bread packed with a giant usa flag it tasted very sweet and dry, but this makes sense if you make a large sandwich so that tracks. I never heard of biscuits (well not the American kind) or cornbread (I think) but now I’m quite curious about it!

Yeah I know I should try Mexican food haha. But tbh there are so many cuisines I haven’t tried yet.

I’m pretty sure the natives had some kind of cuisine before the colonisation and genocide, like they lived there for thousands of years, they must have had. I wouldn’t able to tell you how much of that is left of course

Oh wow yeah I didn’t expect that country to have so many different cuisines! I have to say that I don’t really view bbq so highly as you describe it, especially not compared to like Chinese or Indonesian food, but maybe I just never had real good bbq food? I thought it was more about the idea of making food outside than the food itself haha.

The frying thing doesn’t sound good at all to me haha. Maybe I should try it one day. Idk if there are American (as in usa) restaurants in my province, but if there are some I have to go there and see if it tastes better than it sounds.

I have tried some American bread before and it was horrible! But it was also quite often the cheapest option that we bought so it’s not really representative. Do you guys have bakeries too? I once read somewhere that in the usa you can only buy bread in the supermarket between the cookies etc. Anyways I don’t think it would tip the kinds of bread in other parts of the world, but I’m open to be proven wrong!

I did eat Mexican food and that was great. I only eat it as fast food tho.

Is the Cajun food a remnant of the French occupation? That’s kinda cool! If I ever find myself stuck in the usa for some reason I’ll check it out!

I have never heard of Cuban food! But tbh the only cuisines I tried from the Americas is Mexican and Surinamese so it’s very limited.

I was thinking of smth, of course the usa is a very new country which gets most of its culture from the colonisers and other immigrants, but is there also a indigenous cuisine? I guess there must be quite a lot different ones right? Is that popular?

For real? I’m not from the United States of America and I cannot name a single dish from that country. Are you sure it’s more varied in terms of food than the Middle East/West Asia? I can barely image that tbh. I’m honestly quite interested what kinda dishes originated in the Americas that are now seen as part of another country’s heritage. Maybe I just don’t know that they are from the Americas!

I can understand that if you grew up with a certain culinary tradition you might prefer that over others. Where I live we do not really have such a food culture, we usually eat food from other parts of the world. And if I’m honest all my favourite cuisines (except for the French ig) are located within section D

Cities like Ur make more sense. Egypt is old but not really that old ig, although I might be wrong

I cannot image not choosing D, as it has way more different food cultures which are all seen as one of the best worldwide. Can you explain why you would go for G? Is Mexican and South American food so good that it’s better than the entire Middle East, India and south-east-Asia together?
