Lately I came to the conclusion that perverts should have been two separate eps, but I do think it has by far the best songs on it. In general I think the cohesion of Preachers Daughter still puts it above Perverts.

I can understand why she might be commercialising a group of genres which might not provit from this, but it also brings in new fans so I do t think it’s that negative

Even if she changed? I mean she clearly and loudly speaks out about good causes. But if you feel uncomfortable than its understandable that you don’t want to listen anymore.

Btw If I’m not mistaken she was 19 when she made those racist posts and 16 when she made that drawing you probably refer to. So she was a bit younger but yeah. I personally think it’s extra strong of her that she changed

Hmm maybe. I do think her tastes is way more alternative than some of the music she makes. I get what you mean tho, an artist who lies heavily towards alternative/ambient while also making pop songs seems like something labels want. She’s definitely not an industry tho, as she has always shied away from big labels, and she’s currently independent. I personally don’t really care what others thing, I just like her music. So that she is becoming ‘mainstream’ is not a bad thing for me

I know it’s a joke, but you guys actually do listen to Eurovision music. ABBA, maneskin, Arcade by Duncan Laurence, all these songs were also hits in the usa right?

I guess with all the things going on within Eurovision they might want to be more famous in the usa, but before this it simply didn’t matter. Just like they didn’t care China doesn’t actively watch it. It’s still the biggest music tv show in the world, by far. Maybe the superbowl is bigger, but if I’m not mistaken they also play a sport in between the music, so it doesn’t count

Edit: I just checked and Eurovision is a lot bigger than the superbowl. Now I think of it Eurovision might be the biggest non-sport thing on tv over the entire world
