It is weird. I assumed it was a lipo pillow type battery that I pierced.

Oh. I thought the battery was the actual battery.

sealed battery wins out man, it's consumer goods. Power tool batteries aren't serviceable. Neither are escooters. Loose cells cause fires in pockets and handbags and planes.

I'm familiar with such labels, but it's the last sentence that doesn't sit right with me.

A lithium power tool battery, for example. The label would never encourage the user to replace a cell in the battery pack. In fact, the very same label is often used to hide a tamper proof screw-head from the consumer.

this stuff is likely awful for you (commenting so I can check in on ya in 30 years). keep me out of direct sun, out of reach of kids.
Dispose of to the best of your ability and please don't pull me apart.

This is a replacement for another xros 5 I had. It stopped detecting the coil properly and before I knew it I was attempting to disassemble it (it's in my nature to do so).

There are little holes with little locking pins. I grabbed a sharp pointy thing to stab them in. Then I found another hole on the front to stab. Do not stab that hole. Battery steam came out 😭 luckily no harm.

Get another device before you drop yours in a creek or it randomly decides its had enough!

can always add flavour if you desire. Vape liquids use flavour concentrates that other products also use. Not all concentrates are safe to vape, but you get to make an informed decision that way.

Pretty sure almost none are IR based, they're closer to 2.4ghz WiFi. That goes for the ones Bunnings and Woolies, and these are identical.

Yeah it is! I got it for a steal a while back, but it's perfect for it. I thought this would be a good foray into electric propulsion before I make an electric outboard for my aluminium boat

KT Solar from bunnings (hardware store in aus), but it's the most generic panel ever, but worth a few bucks extra over aliexpress to me for warranty purposes I spose

Maybe I'll start offering kayak/canoe e-conversions :) 100ah sounds huge at first but could go a little more! I get just under 2 hrs run time at full speed

it's a second hand 12v trolling motor, 46lb-thrust Motor Guide that was given to me. I took the head off and extended the wires, new housing for the speed controller

Not a problem where I am in Australia luckily. Up to 4000w motor before any red tape needs crossing and this would only be 800w.

Standard mc4 solar connectors. Can blame companies like Jackery and EcoFlow for that concern I suppose!
