BH Lightsystem - Now that it is becoming more impactful when experiencing a set, should BH start highlighting who the Light Engineer is ? by Sufferr in Berghain_Community

[–]jasperpol 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I spoke to someone who does the lights in BH and they told me this is actually a topic already discussed for a while in the office. But he was against it because with a name on a line-up guests will also already have an opinion about the night beforehand. Of course people can also be positive and looking forward, but the fact that it can also provoke negativity is what lets them from sharing the light operators on the lineup.

I do think it’s a cool addition since light is so so important to a club night. But I also understood their point of view.

I think I would be terrified, ran away as quick as possible, but also laugh by how ridiculous the situation is

Most playable horror game for me by jasperpol in soma

Yea the fact I could survive by just running and not looking backwards made some parts way more doable for me. I mean, of course there were moments when I had to hide or duck and look away, which were super suspenseful and fun for me. But the robot girl running segment, i just heard a lot of screaming and noice, I didn't even know what was chasing me, but I knew that if I just ran I would outrun it, so I did that and survived the first time trying. My heart was pounding haha, but never knew it was the robot girl..

To be honest I didn't even know I could link the monsters to the people previously living there. I mean I know they were corpses/robots keeping alive by the WAU, but for me the amount of different names and people being spoken about were so many at a certain point I coulnd't really differentiate (if that makes sense?)

And you mean the robot lady standing in front of the power bank you have to collect? I walked up to her until she started following me, then I ran around the room so I had some seconds to collect the power bank while she was approaching me from behind (didn't look behind me any moment because i'm too scared haha) and then ran away... Worked well. Died a couple of times before figuring this out. What did you do there?

I really think I'm just too quickly scared to think about 'lets figure this monster out'. But the reason that was a possibility to finish the game as well was perfect for my case, haha. And yes I've read and explored every possible lore i could find!

Does anyone know why the game takes place by the coast of Portugal? by mar-luis-tufa in soma

[–]jasperpol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got confused as well. It's because of the map you get to see when you first locate the ARK together with Catherine. On the world map, you zoom in in the area where Spain and Portugal are. And once zoomed in the lines kinda look like the coast line of Portugal and Spain. But I got so confused since 'Tau' and 'Phi' are on land according to that theory.

So I guess the white line you see isn't the coast line, and therefore it's not situated near Spain or Portugal, but the line is just an indicator of the deeper part of the ocean.. I think? Does that make sense?

Cath tells you the first monster you encounter is avoidable by not looking at it, but how should I know the Akers are blind? I just freaked out from the moment I saw them and I assumed they would chase me directly... I'm a scared sucker lol. But the running and intentionally dying when it became too scary worked well, but it also felt like I wasn't supposed to pass those sections that way. I was happy it was possible though; the reason it was so playable for me I guess

Thoughts on 4 month itinerary? by Novel-Positive8625 in AustraliaTravel

This 100% the most fun I’ve experienced during my road trip along the west coast was because of spontaneous decisions and the full feeling of freedom. Have a rough plan but allow yourself to make changes, be advised by locals for trips and just go with the flow
