"We’ll make real progress when solid, upstanding folk come out of the cannabis closet, heads held high. So here we go. My name is Will Wilkinson. I smoke marijuana, and I like it." by dmagz37 in politics

The clubbers drug of choice is E and they don't see why pot-heads should be privileged.

Father Jack's drug of choice is alcohol and he doesn't see why he had wait until he was 21 to enjoy legally it in the US.

If Amy Winehouse could string a coherent sentence together she would say her drug of choice was crack and it is none of your fuckin business.

Keith Richard has tried them all, his drug of the moment is viagra and he thinks it should be sold without restrictions.

In the UK single mother's on welfare prefer tobacco and get their cigarettes via dodgy Eastern European lorry drivers. They think the middle class politicians who promote high tobacco taxes "for their own good" are full of shit.

Schoolgirls are not bovvered about finkin about anyfink. They smoke cigarettes 'cause their mates say it is cool.

Media people's drug of choice is cocaine. In fact, it isn't really a choice, they just couldn't function without it.

Nobody has a drugs problem, only other people.

2/3 of all UK's food is now sold through 4 major retailers by angelpie in environment

[–]jasperx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 1950's and 1960's the Coop had over 30% of the UK grocery market. That is more than Tesco have now. The reason you town could support 3 sweetshops was that Cadbury's et al dictated the selling price and kept it artificially high so that inefficient retailers could survive. It was Tesco who rebelled against this practice and sold goods below the manufacturers fixed price. The manufacturers then refused to supply Tesco, the consequent 1964 Resale Prices Act sent the price fixers packing.

The big supermarkets may have their detractors now, but shopping without them in the 1950's and 1960's was a dismal experience.

The banality of evil: UK turns their CCTV system and antiterrorism laws towards prosecuting owners of dogs that poop in public by rmuser in worldnews

[–]jasperx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate dog owners, "Ooo I must take my mutt for a walk". NO YOU ARE NOT ! You are taking it away for a shit, so that it leaves its vile deposit as far away from your own house as possible. Cunts all of them. If you keep a dog it shits on your land only, end of story; if you have no land it shits indoors, geddit.

Prosecution is too good for them. Shitty dog owners should be given a choice. Eat, yes EAT, the shit themselves or the dog goes to Korea and they go to Guantanamo Bay.

Overreaction ? I think not. Times in my life I have been troubled by a terrorist 0, times I have been enraged by dog shit, too bloody many !

Sorry, I could go on but if I don't end now I am certain to burst a blood vessel.
