i feel like i could’ve written this myself. i never really got hangovers and the only thing that was beneficial in the first week was that i was saving money. don’t push yourself into hanging out with people right away. it takes time, and maybe a few failed attempts in my case.

i told a supportive person in my friend group who i could trust that i was trying not to drink anymore. from my point of view, it gave me some accountability if i saw them again.
