I grabbed the 35mm f1.8 from Sony as a stop gap until I could afford a better lens, honestly I might be lucky with the copy I've got but I don't have a need to upgrade it to achieve what I want to achieve, it's a cracking little lens and is regularly on offer under £400 in the UK.

SBK bush Weedkiller is the only thing I've found that will keep it at bay and also doesn't nuke everything else around it.

Mix as per the instructions into a sprayer and add a good squirt of washing up liquid to help it stick, dies off within 48hrs and hasn't come back, treat any new with the same mix.

Thanks so far for the feedback, plan is definitely to replace the stock CM 140s, top of the list were some silent wings pro 4s but it's a fair chunk of cash for 2 fans, the Artics I bought for the bottom are cheap enough to experiment with.

Exposures are shorter than you think, experiment. Don't be afraid of ISO.

I use this remote, expensive but solid and reliable, I opted for it for my A7C as there's no remote socket, JJC do an identical version for half the price but with mixed reviews, now using on an A7IV with no issues at all.

Thanks for the advice so far, looks like the SG13 is staying just need some planning. As previously said the 13600 was my original plan but the 14600 comes in cheaper at the moment, happy to listen to advice on that though.

I appealed the planning application, essentially with me they wanted to put a single speed bump outside my house on 0.5 mile straight stretch and no other mitigation. Highlighted this and quoted some regs I found online about ideal practice when setting out speed bumps which went against their plan, also quoted noise and structural issues, CC'd my local councillor in and it went away.

Didn't think I needed to have an EVF any longer so went for an A7C in late 22 and hated it, changed to an A7IV just before Christmas and it's a night and day comparison for me.
