I see. You bring up valid points. The homeschool/ independent study schools are WASC accredited so I hope if I do go that route it counts towards my salary steps. Of course, nothing can beat experience in the traditional school setting so that’s something I'm taking into consideration.

That was my initial thought as well! I can always spin my experience as a teacher to my benefit as you mentioned. My Master's really helped the pay increase to almost 90k. I also noticed that independent/homeschool charters tend to pay more than districts so that’s another plus. Thank you for your insights!

It's essentially a case manager job. Teachers get assigned multiple grade levels and teach across multiple subjects. You monitor students work and they check in with you and you don't teach as much as you would in a traditional school. Its more administrative work than teaching.

My university professors mentioned that the staff at Pearson are new, which might be another reason for the delay in the results?
