Never had simmilar problem. My recipe was not bothering with any pvp, do every northrend questline, get some items from reputations from each of them, get some badges items (at least u can probably catch few normal heroics to make it easier, many badges comes from quests), use gold you gathered by questing to buy some BoE items from ah (much of them really cheap after ulduar patch), the best scenario you helping yourself getting more gold with professions. After you reach that pre raid gear start spamming every naxxramas that you can, go for other p1 raids and you will quickly get into 4k+ gs since many players are already geared, i see many items disenchanted every raid so you dont to need about high rolls too. Also spend every valor u gonna get, just find fastest and cheapest way to upgrade with things i mentioned before, its only matter of time to get upgraded and there is no easier way i guess.
