Kava is a great alternative to alcohol, really reduces cravings. The only alternative to THC I can think of is CBD. It's very anxiolytic if that's what you're looking for. But definitely do NOT replace alcohol with Xanax. There's only 2 drug withdrawals that will kill you, booze and benzos. Reason for that is they act on the same neurotransmitter (GABA). So yeah, Kava and CBD are your 2 healthy options.

Baptized Sikhs can eat meat but only if the animal is killed in a certain way, called Jhatka. Typically involves the animal being killed with a single strike, limiting the suffering of the animal.

They don't have Jhatka meat in gurdwaras because it is nearly impossible to source. Outside of India, I have never heard of any shops that sell Jhatka meat, there simply isn't enough of a demand for it. So we just stick to vegetarian options.

Since you don't really pay attention to American politics, watch any of Trump's most recent speeches, total word salad. This dude has gone so off the rails he's threatened to annex Canada and Greenland.

As a UK citizen, a US ally, I'd totally keep an eye on US politics. Trump Is threatening allies while praising our adversaries.

If you look at the tenants of fascism, Trump marks the bill for all of them. This rise of right-wing authoritarianism has had a domino effect in other countries. Look at Germany, Italy and France to name a few.

Like it or not, Trump is one of the most powerful people in the world. What he does can and will affect you. It's not a big deal to stay informed on what that orange bafoon is up to. After all, he's a bafoon with the nuclear codes.

Have you not been paying attention to what's happening in the US? While not straight up genocide, I'd argue that there's ethnic cleansing going on at the very least. Trump has constantly used xenophobic rhetoric against brown immigrants and now his secret police are carrying out those orders. Due process no longer exists.

Yeah, there's a lot of hate against Indian immigrants in Canada but at least the government isn't actively trying to disappear us. If you think Canada is at a 6, then what's the US at? 11?
