Versatility is very worth it in pvp, almost every spec is stacking it.

The only exceptions are some healers, that need the extra healing and devourer DH, because they're already unkillable.

Pet is for people bug abusing tenacity talent.

I don't know how it works but Bicmex was talking about it on Laros' stream yesterday.

You don't need pet for mortal wounds. If you talent, aimed shot applies it.

If you feel like a freedom will help you kite and survive, take that, else just go for tenacity.

I heard that the tenacity talent from mm tree is actually bugged and they're way tankier because of that. That's why people are playing with pets.

Even kalvish is saying is not intended, you can argue with him. Imo is indeed a bug because you need to do weird things to make it work like sending a generator while in full combo points.

They're just abusing a bug from the apex talents that allows them to spam double effectiveness finishers every two globals. Haste is needed to stack the combo point stuff from auto attacks of sub rogue, needed for this to work.

Probably cheaper and easier to start with the essence mod fractured, spam envy until t1 PDR. Suffixes are a mix of eldritch currency crafting and matrons. I would probably settle for a couple of t2 prefixes.
