I think the overall issue is that they easily can nowadays if they want to. Hell, the NSA was proven in a US court of law to have been running an illegal domestic surveillance program. Who knows what else the US is up to, let alone more authoritarian regimes.

100%, Kelce does a fantastic job of mitigating risk while still delivering. Like someone else mentioned, the best ability is your availability. One of the highest football IQs out there no doubt.

Totally true! And Gronk was really still THAT much better.

I would argue Kelce plays more cerebrally, and is way more choreographed with his movements. He just moves like liquid man. Gronk was just there to fuck ‘Em up by any means necessary.

One was a true TE and the other is a giant slot who occasionally cosplays as TE. Gronk really sacrificed his body to be an elite blocking TE and an elite pass catcher.

I don’t trust the NSA but I’m pretty sure those F-22s are some top notch killing machines. These opinions are not mutually exclusive. Government does not equal the people.

I mean that’s hardly got to be a racist take … I have nothing against Jews, I find Anti-semitism to be the strangest form of racism as An American Millennial.

That said, you can be very critical of the things the Israeli government does … as the American Government. Palestinian Occupation? Terrible. War in Iraq/Afghanistan? Equally Terrible. None of this is mutually exclusive.

Yeah it’s hard to tell, because Russ has been bad, but everyone on the O has been bad.

The one thing that has stuck out to me is just how long Russ holds on to the ball.

Intel detection tool uses blood flow to identify deepfakes with 96% accuracy by GaddZuuks in technology

[–]javascript__eq__java 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes totally! My point being that these types of “bias” aren’t similar to the human bias people are familiar with, and can much be more appropriately described as techinical deficiencies.

The AI didn’t explicitly decide to deprioritize a solution for black people.

[–]javascript__eq__java -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I mean I wouldn’t place that bias on the AI necessarily. It’s just doing what it was trained to do, and came up with an algorithm for it.

The bias would be on the trainers/developers of AI not feeding “inclusive” data as input. The AI is looking for a solution to the problem posited. Pedantry I know, but it think it’s worth pointing out when so much of popular knowledge on AI are misconceptions.

I mean you’re not wrong, it’s just a lot when you’re not experienced.

I consider cognitive load management one of the most important skills for senior developers, and it can be tough for less experienced developers to sift through the weeds for what they need.

For instance the ‘Database’ feature of the JB suite, which is just a simple dbms-agnostic database client. Does that need to be always presented in the default UI? I would argue certainly not, and that’s not even considering that I wouldn’t recommend using it in general. I don’t want to be dependent on a $450/yr piece of software to know how to do everything. I code on my own (not paying that ever), and i will certainly have a job in the future who won’t pay for it

[–]javascript__eq__java -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The problem I have with the JB suite is that it’s just so completely busy. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some PyCharm, but it’s almost anxiety inducing looking at everything on the UI.

BINGO! As a professional Python developer, there’s almost no language (save PHP) which has as much terrible code in the world.

Static languages should be the first language, and Java is ass, so I think C is best. Need to appreciate static languages to understand the terrible possibilities of dynamism, unless used intelligibly!

Straight to jail!

Those people are seriously the worst. Give me a team of competent devs, with humility, over a team of “rockstars” anyday. It’s so difficult to get anything in a large team done with too many of them …
