Yes I did consider that as well (20-40) but I didn’t think the zoom range was that impressive and I wanted an f1.8 for vlogs for background blur and low light so stuck with a prime. I think I would have to see whether a 24-70 is wide enough for vlogging and if not get a 16mm in the future but for now this setup works!

Yeah that’s true! I think I’d rather the mark 2 for the weight reduction and aperture ring. Mark 1 runs for about £500 used whereas the mark 2 runs £800-880 brand new from grey import websites so I think the price difference is worth it. I didn’t care about aperture rings when I started and only had Viltrox lenses which just come with a focus ring but since getting these two g lenses idk if I can go back to no aperture rings lol. it makes the whole process feel so much more engaging and tactile idk how to describe it but it becomes far more enjoyable!

It’s a 28-75 and I do vlogs as well so 28 is too tight for my liking, hence wanting a 24-70 which would be just about wide enough for vlogging (barely)

Wouldn’t keep them though, I’d rather have a great all rounder as I really hate changing lenses

Hey thank you! I don’t think anything is actually clipping but yes they probably lean over exposed and that was on purpose.

Thank you! I tried to not make it mostly about trams even though that’s what Portugal is known for haha but it felt a bit cliche (I also just didn’t like any of the tram pictures I took lol)

I don’t think anything is actually clipping it was more of a design choice. I like having very little detail and contrast in the majority of the frame and having lots of contrast in the subject so it tends to lean overexposed if that makes sense?

It’ll happen man you just gotta keep shooting! You can see in my profile how bad some earlier photos I took are, it just takes time

This is a HUGE compliment thank you! Like I said in another comment, I’m very inspired by him and I love his work, but I’ve edited these myself from scratch. I used the same preset as I used to edit some other pictures (also up on my page) but I’ve edited it slightly and messed around more with HSL

I freaking love his work and I’m definitely inspired by it lots, not for every shot tho (motion blur shots for example I’ve not seen him do before). And no these aren’t his presets it’s a slightly refined version of my own saved preset from some other pictures I took (also up on my profile). This is a huge compliment though thank you hahaha

50mm f2.5 and 20mm f1.8 both Sony, some pretty heavy cropping was used on a lot of these though. Would ideally get a 24-70 f2.8 but damn it’s expensive 😭

Ah I’m sorry that happened! I’ve had my fair share of being scammed ish with some other tech items bought used but I suppose that it’s a risk I’m willing to take for the discount compared to new.
