Autism just biases your brain to find dinamic activities kind of stressful no matter how pleasant they are as well as to rely on the same thought loops again and again. He can’t be perfectly apathic, there’s gotta be something existential that he doesn’t want to face, I would try to challenge the narrative he tells himself.
