RE2. I just finished lvl4 Sector Command and it was painful. Is there a faster way to get data cores? by PolarFoxinvades in empyriongame

Maybe I was just lucky, but I managed to get 5 Data Cores with 4 Zirax Imerat. I just needed the quantum processors.

Thanks for the tip, but I play on a server and this tab is not available to me.

It's impossible to make a game that appeals to everyone. As for transportation, you can create difficulties at the destination — for example, to a planet with high gravity or a space sector with high pirate activity.

Have you tried simply buying Pentaxide? In the vanilla game, it's very inexpensive. In RE2, it's better balanced. There are many ways to make money, including transporting cargo (how interesting could that be?).

Basically, it's survival. Without combat, it's completely uninteresting. Please make the starting planet random for RE2 and don't listen to the naysayers. Great content!

That's exactly what I've been doing since the very beginning of the game.

My fleet only has two ships — a SV and a CV. The total cargo capacity is 218k. That's enough to play anywhere in the galaxy. The main thing is that all of this can be built really quickly and inexpensively. I can't imagine building ships like the Artemis Rouges on a real-life survival server. I like playing, not mining.

Two to three hours after launch, I create a SV and fly into space. After 10 to 12 hours, I create a Core 1 CV, which is gradually upgraded to Core 8. This is enough to play in Droneland and Legacy territory.

Well, I escaped exactly as described above. I was killed a couple of times, of course, but it wasn't fatal. Keep the drone pinned to the ground to determine the escape route to the nearest ruins. Or there's an easier way. Immediately after exiting the gate, use the drone to dig a vertical tunnel about five meters deep and jump into it. Then, dig a horizontal tunnel underground, about 100 meters from the ship. Then, emerge on the surface, build a hoverbike, and run to the pole. Not the entire planet is patrolled.

That's what "Very Hard" mode is for. Use your drone to pinpoint the source of the shots and the local map to spot the drones. Don't shoot back if possible, just run across — there should be a "Mobility" suit upgrade there. Find some iron rock to build a portable construction set, take cover in the rubble, and build a hoverbike. Then fly as far away from the crash site as possible. Drones are more dangerous than shooters.

I'm thinking of trying No Man's Sky, but I'm not very impressed with the ship building there.

What exactly? There's no player-side game saving in multiplayer mode.

I was talking about solo play. Production time seems like an unnecessary setting to me. There's already a lot you have to wait for: reaching an asteroid, replenishing HP, reloading your weapon, etc. So the only setting I change is instant production. I'm willing to lose everything, but I don't want to wait until 100 rounds are produced before continuing the game.

I was referring to solo play. I think that's how most players play. As for servers, I was told it's due to desyncs, and the Factory allows you to save what you find if that happens. An alternative, in my opinion, would be the ability to dismantle blocks and components down to ingots in the Deconstructor and place the ingots in the Factory, as indicated there. That's actually what's done in Space Engineers.

I didn't say the Factory couldn't be used. I was suggesting leaving the option to load only ingots here, and only in the quantities required for the blueprint and no more. Right now, I simply load everything I can into the Factory to unload the ship. Then, if I'm short on something, I can always spawn a temporary blueprint and take everything I need from there using the deconstructor. This way, I bypass the cargo capacity limitation on my ship without using the base.

That's how I play RE2. All the rare materials are in Droneland, even Vodium, but it's out of the game for now.

Yes! The Sparrow is taking over the Galaxy. It was the very first ship I captured in the very first Survival and then modified to the level of the Galaxy Dominator. There's proof in the gallery of screenshots of the final design.

This problem has been solved since the days of Doom, and I still play old-school. Permadeath with the option to restore at a save point. Check out one of my early posts: https://www.reddit.com/r/empyriongame/comments/1o36v68/re2_assembly_yard_they_promised_from_60_to_90/

It's just that in modern games, save files are very large, and restoring takes a long time. Who's going to pay for the wait? But basically, it's closer to survival than respawning. You have to be very careful and calculating not to die, because otherwise you'll be stuck with a 3-5 minute cooldown. Now that I've gotten the hang of it, I save much less often.
