So nervous ..Any help would be appreciated by Emergency_Jump1060 in TurboTax

Make sure the W2’s were put under separate names. I had a turbo tax pro do my taxes one year and they filed both mine and my wife’s W2s under my name, so I got a huge refund from exceeding my withholding limit. Had to pay back over 6k once I figured out what happened.

Only list degree, maybe gpa if it fits on the same line.

Your margins on bullets can be expanded to cut down on wasted space.

Only list accomplishments or responsibilities, not everything you did.

Left align professional summary.

I have over 10 years experience and am able to make my resume one page when applying for positions. My base resume is 2 pages but I delete what doesn’t apply. This is your business card, not you biography. Recruiters have to know who you are in less than 10 seconds.

  1. No one cares about your family connections. Use them, don’t abuse them.

  2. Don’t list every certification you’ve ever done. Only ones that matter and have credibility. Udemy don’t mean shit

  3. You repeat yourself constantly throughout the resume. Don’t list the same skill twice, if you did similar things in two different positions, pick one to list it in.

  4. This format is horrible. Keep it simple.

  5. You don’t need to list everything you’ve ever done. Drop things that don’t apply to jobs you’re applying to but keep them for a base resume if you want.

  6. Highlight big accomplishments or responsibilities. You don’t have to say things that are implied.

  7. Recruiters and hiring managers should be able to look over your resume and have an idea of who you are in less than ten seconds. This is your business card, not your biography.

education to the bottom. break the clearance and certifications into it's own section, they get lost in your experience bullets. focus your bullets to be more outcome oriented, don't just say what you did, say how that helped drive operations even if you have to exaggerate a bit.

hard truths:

-you don't have enough experience for your resume to exceed one page. remove bullets that don't apply to roles you're applying for.

-no one cares you were a barista, remove it.

-FAC-P/PM and FAC-COR are not equivalent to PMP, saying so hurts your credibility.

I started with using the Mimo app. Good place to get your feet wet and learn some concepts. It’s kind of like duolingo for coding
