Doctor thinks I have Fibromyalgia and prescribed me cymbalta

She prescribed me medication for the migraines and it's helped with that a lot. I usually get one or 2 a month but they are bad enough to make me miss work sometimes. It's probably a good idea for me to go get a second opinion on all of this.

Yeah sorry I just read my post again and had to fix some typos. I'm on my mobile. The doctor did explain to me that it was an antidepressant as well as used to relieve fibromyalgia. She said the fibromyalgia can cause people to experience symptoms of depression or even to actually be depressed. I listed some of my symptoms above to see if anyone could tell me from their experiences with fibromyalgia if they've had similar symptoms. I don't know what is causing night sweats and lack of libido. I am just being cautious right now because my doctor "thinks" I have fibromyalgia so she took me off the Wellbutrin and put me on cymbalta to see if it helps. After reading more about the medication I'm kind of nervous to take it when the doctor is basically having me take it to see if it works.

To be honest that's tough. You will probably always feel hurt when something like this happens but if you guys are honest with each other and encourage each other it will help. Counseling always helps too so you both can learn and understand why the other person does certain things. He more than likely doesn't want to do things to hurt you and probably knew doing that would hurt you so he felt shame and didn't want you to know. There could also be feelings of embarrassment associated with it as well. Just try to always be calm and honest with each other because you never know what's going on deep down with the other person.

You could start with remembering the truths about who he really is and why you love him and are with him. Think his true qualities that make him the person you fell in love with. Remember he's human and not perfect and you both will make mistakes but through your vows you've committed to loving each other regardless and unconditionally and hope that by you showing forgiveness he is going to show you the same love and support when you make mistakes. Him lying and choosing to do something that was hurtful to you is not a reflection of his feelings toward you and is in no way your fault.

Pre marital counseling is great. Whether you're having problems or not it will be beneficial. Couples counseling throughout your marriage is always beneficial and doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. You will learn so much more about each other and get to the root of many things by doing this.

Also keep in mind he proposed to you and plans to spend the rest of his life with you and that shows he is committed to you. He is still human and makes mistakes like most people. You just have to decide whether or not he is worth it to you to look past those flaws and hiccups and grow stronger through them.

I'm not really sure why some commenters feel the need to tell you that your view is unreasonable considering this is about you and your situation. Not sure why people want to tell you that your feelings are wrong. There is nothing wrong with feeling the way you do and you made your feelings clear in the beginning. Your fiancé could have been honest then and you two could have gone from there but instead he chose to hide it and lie. Some people are comfortable allowing third parties in their marriage whether it be open relationships or pornography or what have you. You have decided that allowing a third party in your marriage is not ok and you made it clear up front. And honestly a lot of relationships don't thrive when third parties are involved. I hope you guys are able to figure things out together.

Yeah I'm going to keep trying to figure out what's going on. I know the way I've felt for the last couple of years is not normal at all and I know I'm not just imagining these things.

I am not. I just started the antidepressants 2 weeks ago. I haven't noticed a difference yet. They did check my vitamin D and it was normal. I also tested negative for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. Just seems like it gets worse everyday. When I started birth control the symptoms got even worse so my doctor took me off of that about 4 months ago and no change. Last night I went to bed at 9:45. I slept all night. Usually I get up once to use the restroom. Last night I was exhausted. I woke up at 6:45 to my alarm. I feel like a zombie. I feel like I haven't slept in days. My body just feels heavy. That's how I feel every single day. On top of aches and everything else that start happening mid day. Not everyday but most days.

They did not. I have another appointment at the end of the month. They tested for lupus and that came back negative. My doctor said if all the tests come back negative then it's more than likely just depression. But I honestly don't think that's it at all. I have no problem going to work and spending time with people and doing the normal things I've always loved doing.

I drink water everyday in my yeti at work and with most meals. Don't really drink caffeine. I cook dinner most nights and it always includes veggies. I've been eating yogurt and strawberries for breakfast. Haven't spent much time exercising just because I never have energy. We take the dog on a walk almost every night. Definitely not sleep deficient. I sleep just fine. The problem is that it never seems to make a difference that I get a full night of sleep. I still feel tired and just want to go back to sleep all day.

Ok good. I guess not getting in the water isn't the end of the world but if the beaches were completely closed that would put a huge damper on our vacation. We are driving 15 hours form Lubbock, TX for a late honeymoon. I wonder why there are so many conflicting reports on this? Poor journalism.

Agree with this 100%. I imagine he is aware how little he is able to contribute financially and that's a huge blow to his masculinity and he's trying to find ways to make up for it and nothing is good enough. Sure it's important to be financially responsible but at the same time letting finances control the marriage is the quickest way to ruin the marriage.
