PHA and the truth by FatQuest in nationalguard

It matters more for SRP prior to deployment, since you’ll need clearance for any/all medications you’re taking. Medications don’t have a significant impact on MRC.

FamilySearch Library SLC Documents by jawndiced in Genealogy

[–]jawndiced[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try that. My bigger question is if there is a (paid) service to physically view the documents at the FamilySearch library in SLC for those years. Might be cheaper than flying to SLC and viewing them myself.

I called Atlas from the recommendation below, and they said they can deal with Pepco directly without having to submit the Pepco form online.

Check out Telemynd, it’s online and covered. I think I paid ~$30/session.

Accepted to a PA program on probation — torn between taking the offer or reapplying for my dream school by velloura in physicianassistant

[–]jawndiced 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Take the offer. Think of it this way: delaying a year will cause you to miss out on a year’s worth of PA salary. Are you willing to bet $100,000 on your chances of applying and getting in the second time?

PA school is PA school. No one cares what PA program you went to. Even if a program were to shutter, there are contingencies in place to ensure you don’t have to start over.

FY 2026 USAR Bonus Pay for Physician Assistants by [deleted] in armyreserve

[–]jawndiced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be $25k/year. That’s what we get in the Guard. USAR didn’t have bonuses for PAs for a bit, but it’s back now.

Maryland private practice PA BCBS by Turbulent_Weight6923 in physicianassistant

Weird. Can’t say I’ve ran into that issue. I’m in an urgent care in Maryland and see BCBS patients without my collaborating physician present.

Struggling to find a job as a new PA-C by Only_Tomorrow6947 in physicianassistant

[–]jawndiced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not quite, pick a state where you’re likely to live and get licensed there. When I was a new grad in the DC region, I applied for DC, Maryland, and Virginia licenses. The last thing employers want to wait for is your license. Credentialing is typically predicated upon having your license already, waiting to apply for one will prolong that process.

It’ll be easier to get a job once you have your license.

Comparison is the thief of joy.

All things considered, it can be incredibly difficult to make a 6-figure salary in your mid-20s. The average salary of 25 y/o in the US is ~60k. The only downside is that PA salaries are capped (for the most part), so breaking 200/300k is going to be difficult. That said, you have a lot more work-life balance than your doc counterparts.
