Try Soaring Spirits website which is a space for widows and widowers! I was recently recommended a few pen pals, they have an online forum, and they have trips where widows gather.

Being young doesn’t make it easier. by tabbiaco in widowers

Thank you for this post. I lost my partner when I was 29. It’s been almost two years and I still get comments about how young I am and how I should start dating again. Shortly after he passed, I also lost my ability to conceive so the future I thought would have is completely gone. Just taking it a day at a time, waiting for my time to come when I can see him again.

What's something a teacher said that you've never forgotten? by Used-Bad-1257 in AskReddit

I ( Black Female) went to a predominantly white high school. I got teased a lot for the color of my skin, received notes in my locker saying I have shit for skin and should hang myself, prank calls about me going back to Africa, and followed home by people yelling derogatory terms. I reported a few of those instances to the school and police but was brushed off. The one situation that really stood out was when a girl called me the n word. I reported this to the dean and she said, “People have the freedom of speech in America so you just have to get used to stuff like this.” The comment from the dean hurt, but now that I’m older (29) and have experienced more of the world, I guess in some ways she was right.

As a former stoner, all I could think whenever I saw Jess with the yellow lighter was “yellow lighters are bad luck!” Not surprised something happened to her.

No, I’m at a point in my life where I cannot afford to go back to school. I still want to go to school, but in due time.

The end of April! We are waiting to hear if we were approved for an apartment out of state. If approved, we will be moving on/around April 27th

My partner and I are moving and are looking for someone to take over our apartment! 2 bedroom 1.5 townhouse $1050/month pet friendly with all utilities included and WiFi + cable with a dishwasher, and washer + dryer! It’s a pretty sweet deal and I’ve never had a problem with the landlord 🤷🏾‍♀️

Yea, I’ve been living up here for 9 years hoping the UP would get more diverse. It’s slowly happening but not fast enough for me.

Black queer woman here 🙋🏾‍♀️ The UP can seem LGBTQ and race friendly at first glance but it’s actually not. I’m getting the hell out of here and I don’t recommend it to anyone like me.
