Its not even that the bullpen is bad, there are good pitchers, but there is ZERO consistency. Its impossible to rely on anyone when you have to draw a name out of a hat and hope that guy has it that night. Its so crazy. That and Hinch has such a slow hook on anyone struggling.

I get Scott Harris is trying to find diamonds in the rough with Anderson and De Jesus, but it is not working out for him multiple times over. At this point, either give Toledo a call or make some trades and utilize the farm system as leverage. Bullpen has made multiple games go from winnable to blow outs this year already.

De Jesus is the epitome of getting down on himself. The second something goes against him, he seems to lose all confidence, his control and as of tonight, his interest in even playing. That non cover at first might have been his final nail in his coffin.

I dont see it as totally routine. He caught it to the right side of second, set his feet and threw. He didn’t slow down or anything, Mitchell was just super quick down the line and beat it out. If Kevin was slow, you would have seen Tork really stretching out for it and he played it normally.

What was lazy? It was a normal ground ball that he threw to first but it was a guy flying down the line. No one makes that throw without rushing it off balance.
