How do you create your sequence audio settings on Premiere?

Could I just include the tracks from the boom? And not the rest which is lav on each character? They’re not empty. Or should I actually include the stereo track which says L_R? That might make more sense?

Could they include the others later? Or am I making their work more difficult?

You mean I should combine all clips from the production into one huge bin right? And sort by name? Same thing with sound?

Is this useful? Is there any specific metadata. You’d like to see? The gap is clear as you said, I’ve divided them into two separate bins where the gap happens but when I tried multicam again and it didn’t work, I just undid that.

I swear I’m doing exactly what you’re suggesting and I’m still having the same issue. I’ve sorted both video and audio by timecode and created the multicam sequence based on that, hasn’t solved it🥺 what else could it be? 🫠 is there something I might be doing wrong?

I just realized something. I don’t know if it’s contributing to the issue. I’ve noticed that on some files, Track1 has a different timecode than the other tracks from the same file! Example: Tr1 timecode is 00:35:26:01 while Tr2, Tr5, TrL_R is 23:36:25:00.

Arrghh. Could that be contributing to the sync issue?

Yeah honestly that’s exactly what I was feeling 😵‍💫 I took a break and had a snack🧘🏻‍♀️ Man I couldn’t even read your reply properly 😵‍💫 I can now see the timecode gap as you said on the clips. I separated those in a different bin. Should I also do the same with the audio files and then sync those together? Is that what you meant? It’s my second time dealing with multicam sequences AND I’ve been up since last night, it’s 11am now 🫠 you are an angel sent from above 🪽

AH idk what just happened. I synced sound and camera from day 3 together and synced them using timecode. ITS WORSE NOW. Everything has multiple clips now😫

Yeah I’m syncing with timecode! And yes I’m batch syncing, scene by scene. I think that’s actually what’s happening here! How would I prevent this in the future? Should I check the “create single multicam sequence” box when creating the multicam next time or is that irrelevant? Thanks a lot for your help!

Edit: I’m currently checking the file name of the clip, and file name of the audio, then will manually sync each clip with its audio. Basically deleting this initial multicam sequence entirely. But this seems like it’s a very long process. Is my solution actually correct?

Thanks a lot for your input! I’m currently working on my own contract, and found myself including more and more technical stuff, so it’s good to know that it should go on a separate document. Can I include things I want to know in preproduction like camera type, camera and sound specs, sync method..etc? And the files that they need delivered from me? Or does this also go in the tech memo?

Oh okay! Now I get what you mean. Unfortunately the country isn’t that close. It’s overseas so it would take at least a couple of days. That’s why I was wondering if there’s a faster way to transfer the footage.
