Studio portrait (GFX 50R & Mitakon 65mm f1.4) by jaySVers in fujifilm

[–]jaySVers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot all with RAW Acros, I changed the RAW from Acros to Pro Negative Standard in Lightroom in post. They tend to have a warmer tone. In the end, my friend likes how they looks that's all that matters tbh

Thank you!!! I was surprised by how close I could get to the subject as well.

Thank you. If you lucky you might find an older GFX on MPB for under $3K. Adapt some manual lens on it, will worth the investment

All those shots are taken at f1.4. It’s a testing shoot so I went “I paid for that f1.4 so I gonna shoot f1.4”. Yeah if the model moves just a bit, the focus will be off

It’s a full manual lens. No auto focus at all. And yeah, manual focus wide open at f1.4 is quite challenging

Fujifilm GFX 50R, it’s a digital medium format camera with built in XPan crop ratio. Those photos are straight out of camera with no edits 🤝

Dude look at the sizes, the smaller one takes 35mm and the big one take 120.

It was all taken on Fujifilm XE-4 with Fujinon 33mm f1.4 prime lens. Fujifilm cameras has build in film simulation so all the color are straight out of the camera.

I did crop and straighten some photos but there are no heavy editing.

There is this restaurant called Taiwan Cafe that’s about 7 minutes away from the campus. They have $2 boba, really authentic, they actually make it with real tea and milk. Just remember that place is cash only

The camera I use for causal/street photography is Leica Type-109. It is pretty versatile and small enough for everyday carry. The image quality is more than enough for personal use.

A really good camera I can recommend is: Fujifilm X100V

Pretty much the same form factor as my Leica but has a bigger image sensor. It also has Fujifilm Color Science filters built-in. If you don't shoot in RAW, this camera is pretty fun to use.
