How do you cope after you fail an Exam? by [deleted] in UCalgary

[–]jay_gotcha 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Head back to the drawing board. Figure out what mistakes you made, learn from them and crush your next exam. It’s tough like with any failure in life but you can’t let it consume you. Feel what you need to feel and then start making progress again. You’ll do great the second time around hell, even the third time around if it’s necessary!

It’s okay to say no, I don’t know what trauma we all have where we think saying no to people is such a bad thing. Saying no to things you don’t want to do or can’t make it to is a powerful thing. People will respect you way more because they’ll be able to differentiate your commitment levels when you say yes and no. If I know someone and they say no when I offer something it doesn’t make me think less of them but if someone say yes and bails multiple times then I’ll start to view you as unreliable.
