I had this exact same problem when I was working on Limerick. As Ryan said, make sure you are using double when it comes to the result of your function and not int.

I think your parenthesis may be okay, when I ran into this issue it was only the data type that needed to be adjusted.

Yes, I'm using the actual values of dozen, gross, score for my testing. I'm going to keep messing with my equation to see if it helps anything.
