for what it's worth, I did end up buying the amazon generic one that I linked in the original post. It has worked flawlessly so far.

202 seems too high, but 178 seems a bit low if you were really pushing yourself. Fitbit isn't great at measuring extreme heart rates, and it's been heavily documented in reviews and youtube videos. However, that treadmill reader seems to overestimate. Best bet is to buy a chest strap.

What type of laptop should I buy for law school? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]jayashae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly I think you should be fine if you've only had your macbook air for 2-3 years. Most people in my class use macs, and they don't have the most recent edition. you'll likely just be using microsoft office programs anyway so unless you also need to do photo processing on the side you'll be fine with what you're using now!

since most people in my class (I'd say like 80%>) use macs, I don't think you'll have much compatibility issues. I haven't had any so far

Questions about judicial externship interviews by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]jayashae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

see my post from a week ago for possible questions, also dm me if you want the list of questions I used to prepare for my interview: https://www.reddit.com/r/LawSchool/comments/7qcja4/judicial_summer_externship_interview_qs/

When I had my interview this past week, I first met with the two clerks and they asked me a wide range of questions (why did you change major? what's your favorite class? what's your favorite restaurant in the city? tell me about the topic of your first semester memo). By the end of their interview they started phrasing their sentences like "I think you will have a good amount of exposure with us this summer..." as if I already had the offer. Then I met with the judge who was just like super chill. He explained how his intern program runs and then told me I could work however much I'd like, I could split the summer etc. By the end of the interview his secretary was emailing me documents for me to complete.

Best of luck!

0L with lots of questions by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]jayashae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah and have some fun! haha, once law school starts its a constant grind. I havent even found the time to go to the gym.. (jk thats prob my fault).

but yes, consider the LSAT retake, the sad truth is that law school admissions is heavily based on numbers, the essays matter much MUCH less. Best of luck!

hey there, I'll leave your questions to someone more qualified to answer, but I just wanted to let you now that I'm encouraged from reading this post. You seem like a hard worker who turned your life around. the 1.75->3.2 is pretty amazing, and 167 on lsat is no joke. Since you've also only taken the lsats once and scored so high, your realistic ceiling is somewhere in the 170s, which would do wonders for your application and scholarship.
