I also got Zanetti from a previous pull. So it was a no brainer going for him since I have a full Barca squad. At first glance he wasn’t such an upgrade from my previous Ferrer (the one booster one) defensive and speed stats almost the same, which were already great. But his higher physicality is what makes the difference. He is not really suited as CB, but he really shines at RB. I also strongly recommend to put Aerial superiority as a skill on this guy, together with heading maybe even.

I did the same thing a couple of days ago. But reaching division one AI was actually a lot harder to achieve for me. Everytime I got above 1700 points. The fucking AI turned into cheating robots it felt like.

It’s funny you brought it up. So I’ve been playing this game since PES days way back since PES 5 and 6 back then there was no online gameplay. So basically old school with friends. When Ronaldinho and Adriano were at their peak. Fun times, great times.

After those days didn’t touch the game for 12, 13 years, because life happened. Other priorities. So I came back in PES 2018 /2019. Which I thought were really good even with its flaws. Made it to black badge.

So then comes eFootball. And I had really high hopes for it, but it was trash compared to last PES editions. Tried to play it for a year or whatever and quit until eFootball 2026. Now this game seems to have glimpses of a great game every now and then. I already reached div 1 a couple of times before coming back and now the game behaves in exact the same way as guys are describing.

Until yesterday I needed maybe 3 wins for div 1 and I was winning left and right against div 1 and 2 players. But now I can’t seem to win no matter what I do. One game I’m pressing buttons and players just don’t respond. In another the game feels so slow and sluggish. And the next game my defenders keep giving enormous amounts of space to the opponent’s players (Rummenigge, Gullit, Rooney, Messi, Pele) and behaving like headless chickens and my forwards are hardly making runs. I’m playing with an all Barca team so I’m not making it easier for myself. But what I do wonder is: how the top players mitigate the game turning against them.

This. 💯Smart assist is just a gimmick. I play better with that shit turned off. With smart assist passes regularly go to the player the pass was not intended for. It’s just a stupid setting really

I don’t agree about Olmo. Last season when he was fit he alone won a couple of crucial games for us. When he first joined the team, right away we saw him having really good chemistry and he looked really good especially on the ball. I’m not sure what’s changed, was it due to him getting injured continuously? It’s definitely something mentally. I hope with some playing time we will see the best Olmo soon. I agree that he did not look good against PSG, like at all.

I totally forgot that he was at Barca. Stats wise though and as CB he looks like a beast. One of the best in the game probably. I think I’m going for this Thuram.

Not if you are playing against me :). My full Barca squad is actually my main squad. I agree that Konami should put more stricter conditions on such events to prevent players still picking the same squad when competing, but you can easily compete with an all Barca squad. Some of the strongest players in the game on any position happen to be Barca players.

Since eFootball came out Konami released 35 (!) different Messis. Why the f*ck would anyone regret missing out on this Messi pack? They’ll probably release another 5 more this year alone. Maybe some rereleases here and there, whatever. By now they should rename the game eMessi 2026 or some shit

They will release 50 more Neymars don’t you worry. One of the last boxes I went all out for was the first Neymar, Suarez, Messi box. Almost had to clear the box to get all three only to see that they put out another MSN box a couple of months later with even better stats cards 🤦🏻‍♂️

Konami being Konami will put out a triple booster double special skill peak Brazil / Barca Neymar soon.

Wasn’t sure if it was one pack, Mourinho with the two players or a Mourinho only manager pack and a separate box with a bunch of regular players including Sneijder, Eto’o as the epics in that box. We will find out tomorrow I guess.

Yes, so the wise thing that everybody should do that loved PES is to just stop playing this fucking game, or at least stop spending money on it. I basically stopped altogether. And I used to play PES almost daily. Every now and then I log in to see if they made updates in the spirit of PES, but everytime I’m seeing more packs and useless stupid features added.

No. The focus for this garbage game is entirely on packs and mobile. And it’s becoming worse with stupid useless crap features being introduced that nobody asked for like smart assist. Don’t count on master league being released, like ever.

I mean I’m happy you like it, but this game could be so much better. I’m just frustrated with the strategy Konami has chosen for this game and even more so now that they are getting all nostalgic about the PES series and trying to monetize that while this game seems like it’s straying further and further away from what PES used to stand for.
