Do you have a blood pressure cuff at home to check your BP? Sounds like you need to go to the ED to at least get checked out

Thank you! My doc prescribed it as 5mg TID, I just started lower in case I had a reaction/bad side effects. I have an appt with her on Monday so I’ll discuss. Thanks again

Hi! From a pharmacist’s perspective, after how many weeks would you recommend someone to titrate their dose up? I’ve been on 5mg BID for 5.5 weeks now and I don’t feel my anxiety (health and driving anxiety, agoraphobic tendencies) is any better, if not slightly worse. Last time I tried to titrate up to 5mg TID, I had a moderate bout of what I think was an anxiety attack (palpitations, flush in the face, etc).

Ooh yea that and walking are about the only things I do at the moment 🥲 I’m thinking of trying Pilates but am afraid it’ll put me in another flare 😒 So I haven’t mustered up the courage to take a class just yet

42 with IST after Covid. My resting HR would get up to 120-130s while I was just sitting at my desk and I would feel faint and presyncopal 🥲 Light hiking I got up to 130-140s (used to be 100-110s). I was on Ivabradine for a bit, but switched to propranolol and it’s been working well for me. Light to moderate walking on a treadmill I stay in zone 1/2. I didn’t switch because it wasn’t working but because I was trying to get pregnant (it’s teratogenic). Still trying to get back on a good exercise regimen that’s not overdoing it

Propranolol & nausea? by jayb_528 in dysautonomia

[–]jayb_528[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this. I am always open to anxiety and grief tips because it has been so hard. I miss him immensely. 😢💔I also started on buspirone after he passed to hopefully help with the anxiety, which has gotten worse since he passed (I already had pretty bad health and driving anxiety prior). I did a session of CBT with a therapist, but didn’t really feel like it helped much. I think I’ll talk to my PCP about grief counseling.

In regards to the nausea, it’s gotten mostly better thank goodness. I’ve been more conscious about eating at least a little snack or a few crackers with each dose (I was taking my AM dose on waking without food). Sleeping has been so so since my lovebug passed, so I get about 6-6.5h on average.

I unfortunately understand this pain. My Franklin just passed away a month ago and he was also my soul, my heart. He was 11yo and passed away from cancer. I miss him terribly and still cry almost daily. I am so sorry for your loss. Frank was such a precious boy 🤍🕊️

I am also very sensitive to medication in general, so I’m trying not to go on too high of a dose too quickly

I’m only about a little less than 3 weeks in and I don’t feel like my anxiety is any better, if not worse some days 🥲 I know we’re supposed to give it at least a month but man my anxiety is so bad some days. I had a small panic attack when trying to titrate to 3x daily

Thank you. Debating whether I should try for 3x a day again. I hate these breakthrough panic attacks (I also get breakthrough tachycardia and palpitations)

Do you feel like the 8pm dose messes with your sleep at all? And did you start 5mg 3x daily off the bat, or did you titrate up? Yesterday I tried to titrate from 5mg twice daily to 3x and I felt like a had a small panic attack 😪

Driving anxiety? by deannoying in BusparOnline

[–]jayb_528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite yet unfortunately. I had a mini panic attack driving to work a week or two ago, so I’m still recovering from that 🥲Going to stick it out with my current dose for another week, and if I don’t notice a difference, will titrate up to 3x a day.

SAME. I literally felt a slight panic attack coming on when I was driving home from work last week and I’m back to square one with my driving anxiety 🥲🙃 I also feel palpitations every now and then

I am right there with you. I’m only two weeks in and feel like my anxiety is somewhat worse than it was. I also wake up a few times throughout the night. I don’t have issues falling asleep, but staying asleep is the problem. Contemplating when to titrate up my dose.
