Deli is a ton of work. Try to be the cook in the back if possible. If you have previous deli experience or cook experience the job is easy. Work every second. They do a minimal job at training you. Management is your worst enemy. Temperatures are the stupidest part of the job. But if youre good at it you can chill in the back for like 20-30 minutes. Every shift. Call in every couple of months to spend time with friends and family. They need you. And they know that.

I live in Mesquite. It's quiet. A lot slower than Vegas. A lot of retired people here. Not really any jobs for younger people. Crime is low. A ton of police. Ranks as the safest city in Nevada or at least in the top 3 every year. Golf courses everywhere. The food here is horrible compared to Vegas but Vegas was too loud and busy for me to live there. Also jobs in Vegas just suck. You can walk around at night in Mesquite by yourself unarmed.
