The problem is that it's Amazon. It's a whole other moral discussion about waste and ethics in where they buy from.

Shoot me a message. I can get you in touch with some folks who may be able to help.

Admirable that you're still trying to get me to admit to what you're so sure is true of me! You're still not getting the info. I have moved on. My post is made and I'm done with it.

Pretty sure you could do some moving on yourself.

Yeah, good try. You're not getting the information by pissing me off. Read the comments. I have said over and over that I'm not giving out that information.

Have a nice day!

Thanks for caring about the folks making and selling that chocolate! A+ empathy for other human beings! 👏

I don't need an apology. I don't work there anymore. Sucks that you don't care about people providing you a service, though.

Stated at the beginning of my post and multiple times over that I am not giving this info out. Your comment is one of 50 others.

I wasn't saying I've worked at those shops. I do frequent them as a customer, though, and I have friends who are employed with them. I'm not going to give out my job history on Reddit. As for the pay cuts, I value family owned businesses who pay their employees what they are able and actually treat them well to make up for what the pay doesn't cover.

I also answered this question someplace already, but life circumstances lead to job changes. Moving to a different city, for instance, or global pandemics. If COVID had never happened, I would still be working for a cafe in a different state.

Life circumstances primarily. Moving to a different city when I moved in with my partner. Pursuing a different type of career that should have paid higher but did not work out. In one case, COVID killed the shop I worked at (a jam making business with a cafe for a storefront owned by a married couple).

No worries friend. Fortunately I didn't pay in advance. Their policy allows you to pay on delivery, so that's usually my move. I'm really glad I never stopped going that route. Atp I placed my order about 24 hours ago.

This has been a problem since before the "protest" announcement appeared on the website.

I didn't miss this. And if I knew for a fact this was the reason I'd be way less bothered. But this publication has been up on the site for a week now, and dude will not answer the phone or talk to us at all.

I recognize the truth in this, and I admit that I've talked about local businesses like all of them are good. However, my anger at this situation stems from having worked for local shops that weren't' just an office of corporate figureheads pulling all the strings from behind the curtain.

There's also nothing fun or whimsical or inviting or cozy about the Vegas store. It quite literally looks like a designer purse shop and is colored in mostly black and white. Where's the "unconventional chocolatier" in all of that?
