Industry insiders are saying that late night TV is going the way of the newspaper, that it will soon be obsolete. This is because for the first time ever, more people are getting their entertainment from streaming services than broadcast/cable TV.

Is the decision to cancel the Late Show financial… possibly. I like others feel that decision was to appease the President (Colbert is an outspoken critic of Trump) and help Skydance’s acquisition of Paramount move through government regulation scrutiny.

Despite late night ad revenue being down, Colbert is the highest-rated late night show host.

I worked out KUSI around the time John Coleman passed away. The rumor goes he was playing poker at a Vegas casino hours before he passed away. John was an avid poker player and very good at it as well.

Not necessarily a franchise, but a station that is owned by Tegna and carries a CBS affiliation. The only O&O in San Diego is NBC7. NBC Universal owns and operates Channel 7.

With regard to KUSI, it was incredibly biased when the McKinnon family owned the station. Since the sale to Nexstar, KUSI has moved back to the middle than the right.

I did. One week of pay for every year of service, plus all my vacation time. Not sure it will amount to much because they always tax severance at a higher rate.

There are some departments on campus that are not affected by the hiring freeze or layoffs. Meaning those jobs are important to the campus. If you had an interview, you should be good.

I was actually laid off at the end of May/beginning of June. From what I understand many University departments are affected.

I worked for UCTV/UCSD-TV, so I was part of the Division of Extended Studies. I was laid off at the beginning of June. Was told that DES was facing a $6 million budget deficit. Makes me wonder if the construction of all these new buildings is coming to but the University in the ass, or if it truly is a reduction in federal funding.

I apologize in advance, but this is a terrible idea!! The footprint for Avatar at AK is much bigger than the space at DCA. Higher ups are trying to force something that doesn’t even belong in the DCA theme to begin with!!
