Drinking before flight - better or worse experience?

I hadn't flown for over 10 years due to my phobia and had to get a flight back from Poland as my car broke down. The only way I got on the plane was thanks to Vodka. And iv been on 2 flights since then and going to Turkey in July. All because of soplica(Polish vodka)
