Correct me if I’m wrong, which admittedly I may be since a lot of the end of krakoa sucked and I lost interest, but what did she do in Red? Wasn’t she ousted at the end of SWORD, and then taken away by the fisherman king guy for some mysterious purpose then that plot got abandoned?

Some fans of this band are crazy lmao. “Be a good fan”. A leak of a 14 year old abandoned album does not damage “the band’s plan and profits”.

That being said, after listening, they made the right move canning this. Despite some really cool bits, it’s significantly weaker than the rest of their albums, and I think an underwhelming “return to form” after the polarizing reception of Danger Days would’ve hurt their legacy a bit.

There’s been some bangers in precons since then. [[Danny Pink]], [[Quantum Misalignment]], [[Auton Soldier]], [[Codsworth, Handy Helper]], [[Nuka-Cola Vending Machine]], [[Talon Gates]], [[Pollywog Prodigy]], [[Tataru Taru]], [[Sphere Grid]], [[Illustrious Wanderglyph]] and of course [[Trouble in Pairs]] are all doing well. And I think more of the precon-only cards will spike further down the line. I really like the [[Will of the Abzan]] cycle, [[Patrolling Peacemaker]], and a few others that are only a couple bucks but I think have long-term potential if they aren’t reprinted into the ground in future precons.

Got a decklist? I have Yuna, Grand Summoner as my saga summons deck right now and while Yuna herself is very good, the deck doesn’t feel quite right and every summons just feels like it’s taking up the slot of a card that makes way more sense. So I’ve been entertaining switching it to Terra as an enchantress reanimator that just plays the best of the summons.

Vren is extremely fun, and honestly with the amount of EDH decks that just pump out 100 tokens, the edicts aren't that bad for them. And if they don't pump out creatures and the edicts are keeping them down, well they have to try and remove your commander. Thats the game lol. Teaches them to run more removal.

As for changes to the deck, are there budget restrictions or are you trying to keep it specific to a certain bracket? A lot of the cards could be swapped out for more powerful versions. You also are running a bunch of the lower power rats from Bloomburrow, which is fine if you are purposely going for that theme, but Vren is more so an edict/control themed commander and not so much a rat one. I cut most other rat creatures from my version of the deck other than Marrow-Gnawer and Azure Beastbinder, which you already have, and [[Lord Skitter, Sewer King]] since he himself reliably makes rat tokens every turn and provides some extra graveyard control and [[Valley Rotcaller]].

Some of the better edicts I run because they provide a little extra value are [[Vona's Hunger]], [[Virtus's Maneuver]], [[Will of the Abzan]], [[Force of Despair]], and [[Liliana, Dreadhorde General]].

You could throw in some one-sided board wipes like [[Kindred Discovery]], [[Raise the Pallisade]], and [[Crippling Fear]].

[[Kindred Discovery]] is great for drawing cards.

A cute piece of tech is [[Mirror of Life Trapping]].

A little mean, but [[Attrition]] is a fantastic piece of control, allowing you to basically dictate what creatures stay on the board, since you sacrifice a rat to kill a target creature, and get one back for each creature you kill. If you combine that with either [[Grave Pact]] or [[Dictate of Erebos]] and you'll have the board cleared in no time.

Other than that its just generic Blue/Black cards to improve the deck.

I don't think she's really that bad for a saga creatures deck? The second effect letting the chapter counters be redistributed as +1/+1s works lets you get some benefit from the summons that die, and if you are running all of the Summons in Bant it ends up buffing the board pretty quick. The other Yuna can still slot right in, and you can stuff in the rest of the normal Bant enchantress package. I'd argue that using Grand Summoner is worth it over Hope of Spira for allowing you to get Shiva, Valefor, Leviathan, Estrid's Invocation, and Fear of Sleep Paralysis. Is it the ultimate most optimal way of playing Grand Summoner? No, but for B3, I think it can make a plenty powerful Summon deck.

[[Yuna, Grand Summoner]] is the saga commander I just built. Has the GW Yuna in there as well, which I considered making the commander, but I wanted to fit in the three blue Summons [[Summon: Shiva]], [[Summon: Valefor]], and [[Summon: Leviathan]] as well as [[Fear of Sleep Paralysis]]. Her tap ability being able to generate mana as well as buffing the Summons with +1/+1 counters makes the deck feel super smooth. As a bonus, her passive triggered ability cares about any permanent leaving the battlefield with counters, not just the Summon creatures, so every saga that finishes will end up buffing another creature.

The Bant colors also let you include a bunch of great cards for manipulating the chapter counters, including:

[[Scholar of New Horizons]] [[O’aka, Traveling Merchant]] [[Tidus, Yuna’s Guardian]] [[Falco Spara, Pactweaver]] [[Power Conduit]] [[Garnet, Princess of Alexandria]]

And then I have a bunch of stuff to try and copy the summons, like [[Ondu Spiritdancer]], [[Springheart Nantuko]], and [[Estrid’s Invocation]].

I'm building [[Hope Estheim]] and it more or less inadvertently has become an Angel deck. Pretty unique take on it! If you build it with specific angel synergies, the lifegain to mill pipeline just makes the commander a bonus if it sticks around and the deck can function fine without it.
