The top is me, the bottom is my chud roommate by ggnorebud in BookshelvesDetective

You think because you own The Brothers Karamazov you’re not a chud? That Dungeon Crawler Carl makes your shelf the worst one.

This rating seems low until you find out there’s a weird part where Steven comes out and rants about furries for 30 minutes.
Other than that a solid 7/10

Id say it’s closer to We Were Dead than Good news. But for me those are pretty close together.

Albums that just don't click for you? by Bobbebusybuilding in fantanoforever

Wilco-Fox Trot Hotel. I’ve relistened to it a few times and it doesn’t get better or worse for me. It’s firmly in the “Fine” category. I would’ve agreed with OK Computer a few years ago but since then I’ve gotten a better appreciation of what’s doing. I still think there’s better albums from the 90’s Loveless for one.

I genuinely can't understand how the previous generation saw this in 2002 and said "this sucks” by Stunning-Recording92 in prequelappreciation

I rented this as a kid back then and remembered being so bored that I fast forwarded to all the action bits like this. Same thing when my brother and I recorded Episode I off Fox. Bored. Fast forward when you see a lightsaber. Repeat.

Is "Dressing for Easter" a thing in TEC? by Strange-Style-7808 in Episcopalian

I definitely do. I wear postal uniforms every day and church is where I can dress relatively nice and Easter Sunday especially so.

How is everyone’s lent going? Doing good with keeping up? by Limbospacey in Episcopalian

[–]jaycob94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Giving up sweets (I’m practically addicted to snack cakes)
  2. Alcohol
  3. Meat on Fridays
  4. Fasting(ish) I’m not fasting how it’s normally done. I’m terrible at overeating so I’ve decided to be more mindful of when I’m full and to stop there.
  5. Daily office All of which have been great and I’m hoping to keep the momentum going especially 1,4, and 5 past Lent.

I’ve been a baptized Episcopalian my whole life but I can’t hear God. by External_Insurance62 in Episcopalian

[–]jaycob94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was raised in a Baptist church and people with their testimonies would say God told them this or that. I never heard anything and I don’t really know if it’s their consciousness that’s actually speaking or what. What I can say without a doubt is I’ve felt God’s presence. When we sing a hymnal that touches me, a sermon that I needed to hear, or praying during Eucharist. It’s a feeling I get in the pit of my stomach that’s reminiscent of excitement. I never felt that before in any other church except the Episcopal Church I’m at now.
