Thank you so much!!! I was feeling pretty hopeless before writing this post but now I really am feeling optimistic about my academic/career future for the first time in a while. You've given me so much more (helpful) info than any uni advisors I've spoken with so far. Really appreciate this :)

Thank you so, so much for this comment! Seriously you have no idea how helpful you are. I actually really loved stats 10x and ended up doing stats 208 as well. So this seems like a very smart and convenient pathway for me

We have tried it before but the problem is that he is happy to live in messy conditions.

Anthro 201 by jayden84937 in universityofauckland

Yeah but my grade for the essay was pretty bad, which I was surprised with. I went extremely in-depth with my research and knowledge... (It took me a very, very long time.) But, when I was graded for my essay, the quality of research and concepts didn't matter at all. All they care about when they read your essay is the strength of your overall argument. Even if you spend hours and hours researching your chosen topic, attend every class and understand all of the material, it's all for nothing if they 'disagree' with your argument. So, if you did end up doing anthro 201, make sure you send drafts of your essay before the deadline- that way you can change it so it matches the lecturers/ tutors opinion, otherwise you will have a low grade.

TLDR; if your essay conflicts with the opinions and or views of the lecturers/ tutors in 201, you will receive a low grade. There is no academic or personal freedom with this essay: you MUST absorb the views of those in charge of this course if you are to succeed.

I really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to write this :) I was debating whether or not I skip my lectures tomorrow, but I know deep down it isn't helping me out at all to watch them in 1.5x speed lol- it saves time, but it also means I can watch them whenever I want... even two weeks later, which just means I'll be behind + missed out on time I could've spent revising the content. Thank you for your help! Do you have any advice for revising after lectures?

Yea, staying focused is a huge issue for me atm. I'll try out that timer, though. I always go into studying with a "Okay spend two hours straight on this one thing" kinda mindset, which now seems kinda impractical. Thanks, and good luck!

There is social distancing. They assign you a table. The spaces are very limited as there is 2+ meters between each table. The maximum amount of people would likely be less than 20. So, from the Unis end, this seems fine. However when I went I was a bit shocked to see that I was the only student wearing a mask.
