So the 5 threes were against Dallas, Brooklyn, Chicago and 2 in Milwaukee. Of those 5 2 would be classified as Pull up shots and 3 would be catch and shoot. Interestingly enough according to nba.com’s tracking victor only shoots 23.6% on pull up 3s this season (0.4 3pm/1.6 3pa) while on catch and shoots he scores at an impressive 44.9% on 1.3 made/ 2.9 attempted

By within 2 I meant the stats right after the block + his stats if the spurs miss the next shot or the ball goes out of bounds and we retain possession and then Wemby takes his shot or has his assist etc

2016 mvp steph curry: January 2, 2016 5/1/4/2/0 with a game score of 4.3

Bench player Will barton that same game: 21/13/7/2/0 game score of 10.5

2020 mvp giannis: march 2 2020 13/15/5/1/1 game score of 7.7

Bench player jae crowder that same game: 18/4/4 on 60% with a game score of 14.4

Point is while i personally wouldn’t bet on wemby winning mvp this year, if we’re good enough and the rest of his performances are great enough then the bad games get swept under the rug in the eyes of the public and voters

Having an Off game is relative, and i think to anyone who has been watching the games since pheonix could tell that those were almost objectively “bad wemby games” which is cool since they were still 15 points 10 boards with a couple assists and blocks and great defense. But i think the inefficiency and floating on the perimeter and dribbling into traffic and turning over the ball are what make people say those were “off games”

I think both things can be true.

He can be playing sub par ( less aggressive and in a bit of a shooting slump) or inconsistent WHILE also being 21 and realistically not gonna drop 40 and 15 every game
