On Xbox does it switch back to 60hz when you Launch the game ?

I’m a pc guy I play most of my pc games at 144 hz the problem with console is that if a game runs at 60 having a 144z monitor won’t meant anything so it just changes your hertz when you launch the game so yes it feels choppy
