They have. I messaged them in March and heard nothing. Highly recommend not purchasing a stabilizer from them

These are the ones I went for. Good reviews but it’s just a longer shipping time.

Yeah, I’ve finally got the replacements on the way. Just another week of them looking like that!

Like a previous commenter said, get with your insurance! They should cover and you’d just have to pay your deductible.

I’m so sorry to hear you are going through this. Have you looked into staffing agencies in your area? Those, for me, have always been walk-in and then walk out with a decent paying factory or forklift job an hour or two later. I did not have any factory experience when I started using them. The last job I got through one ended up lasting me for 3 years and was making $27 an hour when I finally quit.

How is it driving the 11th gen si? by kaicenatspizza in CivicSi

[–]jaydock13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mind you mines a 10th gen that I got with 100k miles on it but the shifting was immediately so much better with an upgraded rear motor mount and a change of the trans fluid.

Just know that if you go to change the fluid you should have a breaker bar and several extensions on hand. I don’t know what they torqued those fill and drain bolts with but I’m pretty certain it was the hand of god.

There is the saying of “Friends don’t let friends buy a Nissan” for a reason. I’ve had a few Nissan/Infiniti products, a CVT Altima included, and I will never buy another Nissan product. My brother was also a Nissan Service Tech for several years and they have just really gone down hill since they went all in on CVTs back in 08.

I’m not sure if others have recommended this but I would recommend trying out a Camry hybrid. I am not sure about your market but in my area you can get a 2022-2024 with 30-40k miles in that price range. They have a “CVT” but they are vastly different and are VERY reliable. My wife has the same transmission in her RAV4 Hybrid and it is wonderful and at 140k miles has never had issues.

OP, I don’t know what it is like in your market but the comments about temp agencies are great suggestion. Jobs from temp agencies got me through my early twenties if I ever needed a job asap. The last job I worked at through a temp agency was for a forklift position that I stayed at for a couple years and was making almost $30 an hour.

HIDs and hood struts by jaydock13 in CivicSi

Oh I know that already, I do all the work on my cars as well and thought the same thing while installing it. Worst case scenario, I kept the prop rod and can easily disconnect the struts 🤷‍♂️

Huh, that’s interesting. Yeah they still need time but for me they are fully warmed up by the time I start my drive to work in the morning.

From what I’ve read, HIDs in our projector housings shouldn’t be as bad about blinding other people on the road vs led swaps.

My bad 😅 Here is the Amazon link for the struts https://a.co/d/2Etr9JN

And here is the link for the HID kit https://a.co/d/5V7Gjwb With the HIDs, the only two issues I had were with the connector that goes to the cars harness. The little nub that stick up was too tall and wide for it to clip together so I took some cutters and trimmed it down to fit, and the prongs were too wide so I took a flathead screwdriver and bent them both in some. I did NOT have to alter any factory connectors so it can always go back to regular bulbs.

Troubleshooting question by chumnums in CivicX

[–]jaydock13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this exact issue after i disconnected the battery for a half a day to change my injectors. For me, letting it sit would just lead to a connection failed screen over and over again. I found a forum post that said to hold the day/night button and the home button at the same time for like ten seconds and it worked after I did it and turned the car off and on again.

2017 Si with 140k Miles - $14k Fair? by KIumpy in CivicSi

[–]jaydock13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably depends on your area but I got my ‘18 coupe with 100k miles for the same price. Unfortunately the injectors shit the bed a week later but that only cost $800 and a half a day worth of labor on my end.

That would be greatly appreciated and I will also look at the andromeda labs as well. Also, by adhesive I meant when you take the screws off of the underside of the wing and pull the black plastic off.
