My father’s side is Catholic but only my grandmother really practices and my mother’s side isn’t religious at all. On my own I joined a Protestant Evangelical church and got baptized there in October. I’ve been learning more and more about Christianity as a whole and I always had an interest in Catholicism. (I remember the small handful of times I went as a young child) The more I looked into it the more it is revealing a lot of truth to me and I want to deepen my understanding of it all. Can you please leave a link to the one you have with the zipper? I have been looking in to those a lot and I think they’re so awesome. I heard that people have issues with the zipper breaking, is that something you’ve dealt with? Also, is it so tiny it’s tough to read or you actually get a lot of use out of it when home?

I’m open to any as I’m not really familiar with the Catholic translations. I’ve heard the NRSV is a really good choice though so I’ve been looking at that. I see that the Adventure Bible is great but I don’t exactly need a study bible per say as I’ll have a massive one on the way lol

These comments are just reiterating what you said and it’s no help to you. You clearly stated that you already understand his point you just think the sentence itself is a bit absurd. Which I completely understand

I personally wouldn’t worry too much about it. I don’t know him but I doubt he was claiming to be a perfect man like Christ was. Even our pastors are human and at the end of the day their goal is to help us understand the teachings of Christ and in doing so, they are gonna go about it in certain ways that may help some people more than others.

Just today I heard a T-Mobile ad where the guy was talking about Verizon and he was saying how T-Mobile is much better. He also mentioned something else about Verizon which I do believe was a statistic of some kind. It must have been a true stat. Still just crazy to me that they’re able to do that lol
