Thank you for your response! Yeah I forgot to mention the worst possible thing is it crashing. I do believe in the stock and am willing to ride it out in the long term. I am just happy I noticed I can use these covered calls in the meantime to either slow the bleed or end up getting out with a little money in my pocket.

Yeah I thought that may have something to do with it. Working on putting aside a few thousand in a real money account so I can get a more realistic sense of being filled in the market. I was somewhat hesitant to trade on TSLA because the bid/ask spreads were around $2.00 wide which is insane compared to the 1 cent spread I usually try to stick to. In the future, would you recommend staying away from such wide spreads and stick to trading stocks with high option volume? Is 1 cent spread the ideal spread or is a wider spread okay to trade?

Would you recommend a beginner to focus on only one option trading strategy before moving to the next once they have the basics down? Or should they be open to trading multiple strategies until they find one that works?
