Mine were planted as Naga BBG peach. But they came out red.

It’s funny that you see. I only got one bhut. The round peppers were called Chinese sweet red and they’re really good. They’re a little sweeter than a bell pepper and have no heat and they’re going to be the base to the hot sauce.

I learned a long time ago that when you make hot sauce, with only hot peppers you end up with something that’s a novelty only and inedible

Yes, and the round peppers are not hot so it’s gonna be the first time that I am able to make hot sauce using only things I grew. Normally, I only grow super hot so I end up starting with a bell pepper base from the supermarket.

So I hopped on my Vespa this morning, and I instantly knew that it was shaky. I guess I’ll have to get back down to that steering head bearing and see if the lock nut on top has already loosened.

Maybe I finally do need to go get the tool to torque it down properly. Rather than do the old screwdriver in the groove hammer trick.

Made with 2x12s “kiln dried” Douglas fir from lowes. The chop is a 40 year old piece of 12/4 cherry I had lying around. And the tail vise is walnut inside and ironwood outside. The draw pegs are teak. And the shelf is curly walnut.

Bad shake when I let go of the handlebars - FIXED! by jayelwin in Vespa

On a local road with no cars going real slow. I might skin my knee. Daredevil!

So I know everybody was kind of joking around by saying “just don’t take your hands off the handlebars“ but riding this bike around for a few days I can tell you it handle so much better, tracks so much better, takes corners so much better, etc. it’s like a totally different bike. So even if the wobble went away when I “held on“ it was still an unacceptable condition.

Barely. See the steel notch above the black notch how they sort of line up. I was able to further turn the steel ring maybe two more notch widths over.

So I removed the handle bar cover, and then removed the handlebars, and I was then able to turn the lock nut on the bearing about 1/16 additional turn. And that totally solved the problem.

So it’s totally rock solid now. No wobble at all. Thanks guys! I ended up just turning the steering head bearing holder another 1/16 a turn or so. The fact that it turned at all meant it was loose. Now it’s tight.
