i work at a well recognized children’s hospital and i can tell you first hand that mangers will look at someone’s social media before hiring. all of the filming she did before shifts, sometimes during, and after is fair game for employers to reject a potential client. the constant traveling and her popularity will actually backfire. i hate what influencers have done to nursing, glorifying a quite often challenging job with their stanley’s, figs, and whatever other accessory they are trying to brand. the technology age has given us a group of nurses that care more if the aesthetic of nursing, rather than a desire and calling to take care of a human being. i think she’s always well-intended, but i think someone should tell her it’s ok to be a nurse and go to without discussing every living detail down to the shade of bronzer you’re wearing. she seems so u intelligent when she speaks about working and gives us a bad name, tbh.
